Science Night

On October 16, 2024, Shiraz University hosted a groundbreaking and highly engaging event titled Science Night, aimed at making science accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for a broad audience. The event sought to bridge the gap between the academic community and the general public by showcasing scientific concepts in a manner that was both comprehensible and captivating. The initiative provided an exceptional platform for interaction between scientists, students, researchers, and the public, fostering a spirit of curiosity and discovery.

The event was led by Dr. Ali Hafizi, Dr. Zahra Dehghan, Dr. Mehdi Screwchi, and Dr. Masoumeh Moharrer, who brought their extensive academic expertise and leadership to ensure the success of the night. Saeed Setoodeh, as the Executive Manager, played a pivotal role in organizing and executing the event, coordinating the efforts of faculty members, student volunteers, and external contributors.

Objectives of Science Night

The primary goals of the event were:

  • Promoting Scientific Literacy: Simplifying complex scientific ideas to make them accessible to people of all ages and educational backgrounds.
